There have been two major story arcs in this book since Rebirth was launched last Spring and each one used a Colored Larntern Corp as their main antagonist. The Yellow (fear) Lantern's of Sinestro kick started the book with an amazing tale of Hal Jordan's return from exile and that was followed up by an Orange (greed) Lantern series where every beloved Green Lantern from Jordan to Rayner, was showcased in each issue.
This arc appears to be using the Blue Lanterns that are fueled by the emotion, Hope.
We pick up from the previous story arc, which can be found in our achieves. On Mogo, the Green Lanterns base, John Stewart and Soranik address the rest of the Green Lantern and Yellow Lanterns that teamed up to defeat the Orange Lantern, Larfleez. The plan is for the Greens and Yellows to join forces instead of fighting each other and any Yellow Lantern found that does not comply will be sent to the sciencells.
Meanwhile Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner are sent off by the Gaurdians to a hellish planet to find a Blue Lantern of Hope.......
The quest for Hope part 2. The Green and Yellow Lanterns are teaming up to go out and find rogue yellow lanterns, that are not willing to join forces with the green lanterns, and bring them to justice.
Meanwhile in Sector 3172 Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner, the white lantern, are searching for a member of the Blue Lantern Corps., Saint Walker.
They find him but when they do they are taken captive by the Misery Mound, who wants Walker to relinquish his hope. Walker was sent there to beat the Misery Mound, but thus far hasn't been able to. The Misery Mound attempts to break the will of Kyle and Hal but they summon their strength and with the aid of Walker, hope defeats the Misery Mound. All three return to Mogo.
We pick up issue #16 with rogue yellow lanterns being taken in by the newly allianced Green Lanterns/Yellow Lanterns team and John Stewart and Soranik decide to go after Guy Gardner who went off to find Arkillo, the former right hand of Sinestro, to bring in himself.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Hal return to Mogo with the Blue Lantern.
the majority of this book is the one on one fight between Akrillo and Guy and let me tell you it does not disappoint! Guy wins in the end but at what cost. He is at the edge of death after this battle. Good third issue. Didn't add to much to the overall story but still entertaining.
There is a lot going on in this book. we have one story line that picks up Guy Gardner trying to almost befriend Akrillo in the infirmary at Mogo. Explains that he had to make a statement and go after the biggest inmate in the prison yard. Lets see what happens with those two. Do they become partners or will Akrillo betray him in the end?
The main story is about Kyle Rayner the white Lantern. He is being tasked with using Saint Walker as a lightning rod of sorts to find the other Blue Lanterns of Hope. As he is trying to accomplish this something got in the way and stopped it from happening and also caused Kyle to choose a colored ring. He is no longer the White Lantern. He is Back as a Green Lantern!!
The entity that got in their way was Mr. Oz. The same Mr. Oz that we have been seeing all over the DC rebirth line. Are we finally going to see how the Watchman have been involved in the DC world?
