Issue #10 begins a new story line from one of my favorite writers, Scott Snyder. The third story in this run is titled the First Ally and just like the other first issues of arcs, it gets your attention right away.
The entire issue is narrated by Alfred discussing Bruce and how he is like a son to him and how reckless he is yet he is always in control. It shows you how much Bruce actually means to Alfred.
The main story here is about a weapon called the Genesis Engine that is being smuggled into Miami to be auctioned off to the highest bidder by a decedent of Blackbeard the pirate. Yep I said that.
Bruce attempts to infiltrate the auction as himself when things go awry and finds Blackbeard's great grandson murdered with his heart ripped out. And a symbol on the wall.
In the end we find out that the main villain in this story might not be after Bruce, but Alfred because at the beginning of the story we see a young Alfred running from police in London because of some graffiti he did. That graffiti matched the symbol found on the wall by Bruce!!
An in depth look into the books we review in our comic book corner. Spoilers Ahead!!!!!!!!
